Marie had to work so the 'Olds' took a taxi to the Marina area, which is undergoing a lot of enhancement in the way of building works and there are construction sites everywhere! This includes public walkways, so we found this example ( elbow) rather amusing.
As with several areas in Dubai, the contrast between old and new is marked.
We enjoyed lunch at one of the waterside eateries. Clearly there are many more planned or in the process of construction.
We took the metro part-way back & walked the rest - so feet are aching a little now!
