Drama.
Arrived at Singapore check-in for overnight flight to Melbourne only to be told we did not have the necessary visa and could not fly until we did !
A quick fix was available though via the Emirates check-in desk who would do the process online - at a cost of £40 each.
Bite-the-bullet time and 20 minutes later we are okay and through airside where on checking old emails the matter looked to have been dealt with in October but a hard or electronic copy did not make its way to us.
Not that we had recalled that a visa was needed in any case, despite having been there just two years ago. Senior moment.
Can end on happy note though as the airport lounge to which we have access and where this is now being written is the best I've ever encountered so all's well that ends well.
Phew.
